Overview
ScaleNet is SunGard’s fully managed private Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) connecting key SunGard sites around London. Spurs radiating from these sites provides reliable connectivity into the availability services offered by SunGard.
ScaleNet comprises a highly resilient optical fibre ring architecture, which is diversely fed via underground ducts, feeding each building on the ring through two different ingress points. The fibres are lit by state of the art Coarse and Dense Wave Division Multiplexer (CWDM\DWDM) equipment employing redundant architectures at each node, delivering multi-Gigabit bandwidth capabilities to any point on the network.
Connection to a node on ScaleNet is established using standard services available from local telecommunication providers.

Wires only or managed CPE
Service requirements
With a wires only service, SunGard will not be able to monitor or maintain the customer’s equipment. Thus the customer is responsible for port states and maintaining the health of the equipment where the line is terminated.
