SunGard has a highly skilled Network and Security group that has extensive experience and expertise in managing Cisco and Checkpoint firewall solutions. As most organisations implement a firewall once and then leave its rule base mostly unchanged until a new service is implemented, far-reaching firewall skills are difficult to maintain within a typical enterprise. Thus outsourcing this function to a partner that keeps pace with all of the latest security threats and vulnerabilities is a more effective proposition.
