Overview
SunGard runs its own highly resilient MPLS network; V*Net™. This network is for customers wishing to connect into one or multiple SunGard data centres in the UK and/or in the US.
SunGard has built “On-Ramps” into V*Net™ which provides a cost-efficient method of gaining access to SunGard services. In the UK these “On-Ramps” currently comprise of three STM-1 bearers; two at SunGard’s London Technology Centre (LTC), these being provided by NTL and MCI/Verizon, and the other into SunGard’s Docklands facility, provided by COLT. All of these bearers are able to have multiple 2Mb & sub 2Mb logical circuits, which via MPLS VPNs connect to its target services and nodes. Resilient transatlantic V*Net™ connectivity is provided via dual circuits, one between LTC and Philadelphia, and the other from Docklands to Atlanta.

Service requirements
Connections to and from V*Net™ must be SunGard managed circuits (Managed CPE), as the routers at both ends need to be configured and managed by SunGard.
