Overview
SunGard offers customers around-the-clock monitoring of Up / Down status of their websites - URL addresses and TCP ports. There are two levels of services for web monitoring – Standard Web Monitoring and Enhanced Web Monitoring.
Customer devices are networked to SunGard’s monitoring network to be 24/7 watched by SunGard’s Network Operations Centre. URLs and TCPs are polled every 5 minutes to obtain a response from the customers HTTP, Domain Lookup Failure and TCP Connection Failure.

Customers retain web site policies and control of their web sites but without the administration of constant monitoring.
By monitoring and acting promptly on any problems diagnosed, businesses are able to reduce any downtime experienced, protecting any revenue being generated by the web site.
It is often more economical to have web sites monitored by SunGard, comparable to undertaking this internally.
Options
Standard Web Monitoring tests for Up / Down availability. Customers have the ability to subscribe to Enhanced Web Monitoring, providing the ability for end-to-end applications responsiveness and other performance measures.
Service requirements
- Monitored devices must have a dedicated NIC allocated to SunGard
- Customers must provide any monitoring requirement
- Monitored ports and URLs must be identified and agreed
- SunGard must be notified of device address and URL name changes.
