Overview
SunGard’s Device Monitoring Service provides up/down status for IP-network attached devices such as Routers and Switches. Monitored devices can be located in SunGard’s Technology Centres or on Customer’s premises. Devices are monitored 24/7 and Customers are notified of any alerts thereby preventing a service impacting event.

Benefits
SunGard’s proactive agent-less service will alert you of any problems with monitored network devices. There is no need to install agents or software on devices. SunGard's 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) perform event identification, notification, and escalation. Device availability reports are available in the SunGard Portal.

Various components of devices can be monitored where supported.
Service requirements
- Devices must have a supported MIB (Management Information Base) and support SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) traps
- Devices hosted at SunGard’s Technology Centres will be connected to the SunGard monitoring network
- Devices monitored on Customer’s premises must be connected via SunGard remote monitoring resilient communications solution
