Overview
SunGard’s Continuous Web Presence Service provides near real-time failover of internet traffic for specified websites. The SunGard service continually checks the availability of the customer’s web servers. In the event of loss of connectivity to these web servers, visitors are redirected to SunGard’s alternate site.

Options
The Standard Continuous Web Presence service requires the Customer to upload and maintain the failover web content. An Enhanced Continuous Web Presence service is available to automatically download content from the Customer’s production website. The Enhanced Continuous Web Presence service supports:
- Download all or part of a website
- Configurable exploration depths
- Retrieval filters to download only files matching regular expressions and desired type and size
- Supports all variants of HTML 4.0, CSS 2.0, and DHTML
- Supports HTTPS (secure) servers
- Cookie support
- Javascript parsing and analysis
- Java applet retrieval
- Supports password-protected sites
- Configurable Agent Identity retrieves data from even the most particular of servers
- Retrieval of files from FTP servers
- Downloaded pages are transformed into static HTML
- SunGard are also an established provider of full Geographical Load Balanced / Web hosting solutions.

- Failover system is designed for static web content
- Failover system runs on Microsoft Windows and IIS
- Customer responsible for maintaining failover web content for the Standard Continuous Web Presence service
- Customer responsible for providing configuration details for the Enhanced Continuous Web Presence service
