Overview
The Equipment Management Service provides management and associated activities for SunGard-approved systems, including ownership of related hardware and firmware issues on a 24/7 basis or as needed.

Options
The equipment management service can be viewed as an extension of the Hardware Installation Service. Where the hardware installation service provides the initial installation of a server or network device and the Equipment Management Service ensures the ongoing support of that device.
Service requirements
This service is available only to systems that SunGard is managing functionally, i.e. Servers with O/S Management, Managed CPEs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, etc.
Clients of this service must also use SunGard’s Device Monitoring Service.
Service does not include provision of spare parts or vendor maintenance and support contract.
