SunGard’s Security Assessment service assesses your defences from top to bottom, using industry best practice to help you to maintain the resilience of your business and optimising the efficiency of your investments in information security.
The Benefits
Undertaking a Security Assessment provides a number of benefits, enhancing your ability to develop a resilient and secure ICT Infrastructure. The service will provide:
- Access to a wide range of consultants who have the expertise to understand your organisation’s commercial, technical and operational issues, and how security supports them.
- A comprehensive analysis of your information security controls from the perspectives of people, processes and technology.
- A summary outlining how existing policies, procedures and infrastructure compare to best practice
- A detailed, “RAG-coded” breakdown of risks and vulnerabilities
- Actionable recommendations, based on industry best practice, that are aligned to your immediate objectives and priorities – such as ISO 27000, PCI DSS, and BS 25999
- Details of secure hosting solutions and services.
Delivery
- A SunGard consultant will contact you to arrange a site visit
- The physical scale and logical scope of the security assessment will be agreed ahead of the actual visit, to ensure the most efficient use of time
- The pre-agreed number of site visits will be held, with interviews to discuss: overall information security strategy and policy documentation of information security policies, procedures and practices approaches to securing applications, systems, networks and data, optionally, completion of a hosting, managed firewall and/or managed IDS questionnaire
- During the visit, the consultant will also set off an automated vulnerability scan of previously agreed sections of your technical infrastructure
- Following the visit the consultant will complete a report detailing:
- current strategy
- current overall security regime (including technical aspects)
- gap analysis against current strategy
- recommendations and impact of:
- continuing “as is”
- implementing best practice
Upon completion of the entire assignment, the SunGard Consultant will present to you all findings and recommendations.
