Rob has twenty five years experience in business-to-business and consumer marketing, and consultancy.
He began his career with Allied-Domecq and moved to ICI to work on pharmaceutical marketing, moving through the Company’s management training programme to undertake product and marketing management roles in the UK, Europe and the Far East.
In the early 1990’s Rob set up his own marketing consultancy and worked on pan-European projects for IBM, BP and Airbus Industrie amongst others – after selling the company, he worked in private consultancy for a number of IT Services organisations, including IBM and CAP Gemini, prior to joining SunGard Availability Services (Comdisco, as was) in 2000.
Rob is part of the SunGard Availability Services UK management team and was closely involved in both the transition of Comdisco’s European companies to SunGard and in the amalgamation of the Guardian iT business, acquired in 2002, into the UK operation: Rob’s current responsibilities include marketing communications and lead generation, product and service marketing and channel development.
Rob was educated at Barking Abbey School and the University College of North Wales (B.A. Economics) and holds the Diploma in Marketing awarded by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He lives in Buckinghamshire and is married with one child.
