Dave Gilpin’s professional career, spanning 30 years with more than 15 years in sales support positions has been with only 3 large organisations, Tesco Stores Ltd, Comparex Information Systems and SunGard Availability Services (formerly Comdisco).
As his title suggests, Gilpin is responsible for strategy execution, including formalising the planning process, working relationships and synergies across the European organisation and establishing greater transparency and accountability for those executing said strategy.
Prior to assuming this role, Gilpin was Director of Product Development, with responsibilty for several strategic functions, all of which are geared to delivering valid, compelling and effective Information Availability solutions to SunGard customers, whilst addressing the constraints or challenges posed by business, technological, resource and budget issues. These functions comprise SunGard’s award winning Professional Services and Product Development teams, as well as the company’s group of Solutions Architects.
Gilpin is committed to providing customers with solutions that have integrity; an approach, he ensures is matched by his team members. He is very mindful of real customer requirements and is often involved in customer sales situations. This has resulted in a high level of customer satisfaction and a high customer retention rate.
